Recruitment posters for the Canadian Women's Army Corps (CWAC) showed the role of women as equal but different to the role of men in the armed forces. This poster (circa 1944) boasted that the CWACs marched "shoulder to shoulder" with Canada's active combat army. The poster's full statement is transcribed below.
