Canadians returned to Dieppe in September 1944 as they pushed through Normandy. Many of the units involved in the liberation of the town, such as the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (shown here), had taken part in the original raid and lost comrades. In this photo, members of the RHLI take time to remember those men as they kneel at the graves of Canadians killed during the raid on 1 September 1944.
